Understanding Creates Freedom

We are all shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the ways we've learned to adapt. Some of those patterns continue to serve us. Others quietly begin to limit us. Therapy offers the opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, approach life's challenges with greater intention, and create more freedom in the way you live and relate to others.

A thoughtful approach to navigating life’s complexities

Meet Nicolle

Warm. Thoughtful. Direct.

My career began with a curiosity about human behavior—why we think, relate, and respond the way we do. Years of clinical practice, along with leading a residential mental health program, have only deepened that curiosity and strengthened my belief that meaningful change begins with understanding, not judgment.

I don't believe people are broken. I believe we are shaped by our experiences and by the ways we've learned to adapt. Some of those adaptations continue to serve us. Others no longer do.

My role isn't to tell you who you should become. It's to help you understand yourself more clearly, recognize the patterns that may be limiting you, and support you in making choices that align with the life and relationships you want. I'll bring warmth, curiosity, and compassion to our work together—and when it's helpful, I'll challenge you with honesty and care.

A practice built
around you.

No two people come to therapy with the same story. I begin by understanding the whole picture—your experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and what matters most to you.

From there, we choose the approaches that fit you - not the other way around.

Areas of Focus

I work with adults navigating life's complexities, including relationship challenges, major life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, and questions of identity and purpose.

Many of the people I work with are used to being the ones others rely on. They manage careers, businesses, families, relationships, or caregiving responsibilities while quietly carrying more than most people realize. From the outside, life may look successful. Internally, they often feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or frustrated by patterns they can't seem to change.

Therapy offers the opportunity to step out of autopilot, better understand those patterns, and make more intentional choices in how you lead, relate, and live.

The Approach

The ways we protect ourselves, communicate, navigate relationships, or respond under stress don't happen by accident. They're shaped by our experiences and the ways we've learned to adapt.

Together, we'll approach those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. We'll explore where they came from, how they're showing up in your life today, and whether they're helping you create the life you want.

My role isn't to tell you who to become. It's to help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make choices that reflect the life you want to build.

Understanding yourself isn't the destination. It's what gives you the freedom to choose differently.

For clients who need additional flexibility, privacy, or support, I also offer Concierge Therapy.

Common Questions

For those looking to enhance their relationships, regardless of whether they are experiencing difficulties, seeking assitance is a valuable option.

There can be a lot of anxiety around starting therapy, which makes sense. You’re embarking on a new journey, sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings with a total stranger, and if this is your first time working with the therapist, it might all be new to you.

Therapy is a moment-to-moment guided relationship between the two of us. Together, we will work through your unique experiences that may be causing barriers and suffering in your life; often, the parts that create the most suffering are issues that needed to stay hidden until now.

We will collaboratively work toward your goals and develop more insight into who you are today and who you want to become.

Good therapy is built on connection. Studies show that the relationship or “fit” between client and therapist is the most important factor in determining successful outcomes. I provide a brief consult to see if we are a good fit prior to our first session. This is a time where you can ask questions, learn about  treatment approaches and see what it would be like to work together.

I encourage you to think about what qualities or skills you’d like a therapist to have that would make them the best match for you. While I have experience working with a diverse clientele, I respect thoughtful matching and understand if you wish to continue your search. I would be happy to provide you with refferals.

I am happy to accept new clients and offer flexible appointment times, including both daytime and evening slots.

50 minute sessions - $220

90 minute sessions - $260

Reduced rates are available on a first come first serve basis.

I offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments. I am happy to discuss more over the phone.

I do not bill insurance. However, I can also provide monthly statements as a superbill to submit to your insurance provider. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to receive “out of network” services and receive partial reimbursement for sessions. Here are some questions you can utilize when speaking with your provider:

— Do I have out-of-network benefits?

— What is my out-of-network deductible for mental health services?

— What is the coinsurance for outpatient mental health?

— How much of my deductible has been met this year?

— Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

— How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

Standard sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly or bi-weekly.

Your diagnosis is rarely the first of even second consideration in getting to know you and crafting your care. Often a diagnosis is not needed. However, if you need a diagnosis for your insurance or another reason, please let me know, we will discuss this together.
